Chat with a Librarian registration is open! The training is in-person and will be held at three locations across Pennsylvania.
Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 9:00 AM. The session will begin promptly at 9:30 am and end no later than 2:30 PM. We will email a reminder and directions to you one week before the scheduled session.
Due to cost, please note that extra handouts will not be printed. If you desire printed copies, please download the handouts and print them in advance.

Lunch generally includes a deli meat or vegetarian sandwich, chips, fruit, and beverage. Anyone with special dietary needs should contact HSLC.
9:00am-9:30am Registration and Breakfast
9:30am-12:00pm Chat with a Librarian Training – This session will review Chat with a Librarian and Virtual Reference basics. Topics to be covered will include navigating the new QuestionPoint live chat monitor interface, handling multiple chat sessions, guidelines for specific chat scenarios, and hands on practice.
12:15pm-1:15pm Lunch (provided!) – Enjoy a Lunch and Learn session discussing the QuestionPoint community including serving the 24/7 Cooperative and UK patrons with Karri Sites, Library Services Consultant at OCLC.
1:30pm- 2:30pm Chat with a Librarian Service Review – This session, requested for site coordinators and open to all attendees, will review QuestionPoint library policy pages, chat staff scheduling and attendance, as well as discussion on live chat service best practices.
