Instructions for Accessing Statistics for Collections

  1. Be sure you are logged out of any Google account you may be working on
    1. You can also use incognito mode (Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N) or private browsing (Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P) to avoid the need to log out of your Google account.
  2. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/
  3. Click on Sign in
    1. If “Stay Logged In” is preselected, please deselect that option so that your browser does not attempt to keep you logged into the HSLC CONTENTdm Google account.
  4. Sign in with the provided username and password. (Collection Managers who need this information should contact HSLC.)
  5. Set the date range for the desired time period.
  6. On the left hand side of the screen, click on Behavior (menu choice has an icon to the left), then Site Content, the All Pages
    1. Note – there is a menu choice Behavior listed under Audiences  – do not click on this menu choice
  7. Click on the advanced link on the right hand side underneath the Pageviews chart.
  8. Be sure the drop down menus reach “Include” and “Containing”; if not, change it
  9. In the blank field to the right of the Containing drop down menu, enter your collections alias
    1. Your collection alias was sent to you in the initial e-mail sent when your collection was created
    2. Your collection alias can also be found by navigating to your collection; the last element in your collection URL is your collection alias
  10. Click on the Apply button
